| Description of the problem | I filled up a full tank of fuel and drove home to park the car in the garage. Several hours later i noticed a strong smell of fuel inside the car. After looking around i noticed it was coming from the back. Having read posts on mbworld. Org in the past i lifted up the back seat only to find fresh fuel pooling by the pump and sending unit. I called the dealer shortly after who told me i would need a new tank, fuel pump and sending unit totally almost $3000. I don't have the money for this repair and there is no recall yet so if my car blows up then mbusa will be held liable as this is very common problem. |
